Munax Oy is looking for a

LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

 for a permanent position at the Laitila office. 

The logistics coordinator is responsible for the planning and implementation of daily domestic and international transports in accordance with the requirements of the food industry, ensuring the implementation of schedules, costs and agreed ways of operating. The tasks include close cooperation with transportation companies, warehouses, production, sales and procurement, as well as the operative handling of transport deviations and complaints.

The role emphasizes the ability to process available data to information and further knowledge which can be used to develop cost-effectiveness and delivery accuracy. The logistics coordinator reports to the Purchasing and Logistics Manager. The position offers an opportunity to expand your competence to procurement tasks and work as a substitute for the Purchasing and Logistics manager during his possible absence.

The working hours for the position are 37.5 hours per week.  The possibility of remote work is 1 day per week. The Collective Agreement for Rural Industries is applied to the position. The taxable earned income for the position on an annual level will be at the level of 40,000–45,000 euros.

The main tasks in your role are:

  • Daily transport planning and ordering and selection of modes of transport,
  • Ensuring transport schedules and cost monitoring,
  • Liaising with the authorities,
  • Ensuring the implementation of food legislation, cold chain and traceability,
  • Proactive cooperation with production to coordinate and ensure shipment schedules,
  • Handling transport deviations and complaints,
  • Analysis and reporting, and
  • Development of logistics operations.

The best candidate for the position is someone who

  • Has fluent spoken and written expression in English,
  • Understands some Finnish and is motivated to develop his/her Finnish language skills on his/her own initiative,
  • Motivated by organizing and planning,
  • Able to operate even if plans change unexpectedly,
  • Gets energized about communication with different stakeholders,
  • Enjoys analyzing data, and has advanced Excel skills and data visualization skills to support decision-making,
  • Thinks adhering to the rules and principles is important,
  • Has experience on using ERP system,
  • Is willing to help colleagues, and
  • Feels more comfortable in safety shoes and a high-visibility jacket than in leather shoes/high heels and a collared shirt.
